Two poems on change
Two poems I wrote on a single day in July 2023, both about change. Preserved verbatim.
1
Amidst time's ever-flowing stream,
Change weaves its dance, a vivid dream.
From shadows deep to skies so vast,
Life's transformations, meant to last.
With every sunrise, change takes flight,
In golden hues, a world so bright.
Embracing shifts, we learn to grow,
Like rivers journey, to oceans flow.
Through twists and turns, we find our way,
In change's arms, we seize the day.
Let fear subside, let hope remain,
For change brings gifts that ease our pain.
Embrace the rhythm, let go of fears,
For change, a constant through the years.
With open hearts and spirits free,
We'll dance with change, eternally.
2
Sweet or bitter 'tis,
Life's true essence, no ifs or buts.
In its embrace, we're made to see,
The path we walk, the destiny.
Like autumn leaves that gently fall,
Change whispers truths, a silent call.
Through highs and lows, it molds and shapes,
Our souls, our hearts, our very drapes.
At times, we stumble, lose our way,
As change disrupts familiar day,
Yet in struggle, we discover,
Strength within, a newfound lover.
Through tears that flow and hearts that flutter,
In change, we find ourselves, no clutter.
For in its dance, we learn to grow,
Amidst sweet or bitter, we bestow.
So let us welcome, without a mutter,
Change's symphony, its endless flutter.
For in tis rhythm, life finds its tune,
A melody of change, a chance to bloom.
